I'm going to be replacing the water pump and entire timing chain assembly in my 2013 SHO pretty soon, but I've noticed while looking at water pump replacements there seems to be two different kinds? One with two gaskets and another styke with only one gasket? What's the difference between these two, and which one should I buy for my 2013? Also, does anyone know of any metal timing chain guides? Can't seem to find any and I'd rather avoid plastic ones if I can. Thank you.10000020351000002036

x2. non oem pumps are unproven. for better or worse, ford is all we got with any kind of track record. it has become increasingly so on pretty much all hard parts. almost to the point where i shy away from recommending even cloyes and melling timing kits.

now if you are aiming to fix and sell, i can understand using non-ford parts, but the trouble may come to the next owner sooner ...

Interesting, I'm fairly certain my OEM replacement pump had 2 o-rings, with my understanding being that if the inner o-ring leaked, the coolant would work it's way out the weep hole instead of into the crank case.
