watch the vid..... when i steer the car to the right the steering binds and the engine shifts over to the right, the same thing happens when i turn to the left the engine shifts over to the left and the steering binds.... when driveing on left hand turns the steering Locks in place, NOT COOL! any ideas guys? i suspect the subframes about to fall out lol i noted when i had the clutch done that the bolts to the subframe was still lose so i brought the car back and had them tighten them.... didnt fix the problem, i dont think they really did it at all, i think i got screwed, the car didnt have this problem before i had a shop do the clutch

so why dont you just jack it up and check everything out/tighten everything loose?

i would but i lost my air tools in texas and just wrenching on it doesnt do sh$# tho at one point i jacked it up by the sub frame and was able to turn the bolts by hand... it seemed like what ever the bolt bolted to broke lose.... and if thats the case i really dunnpo what my options are i dont think i can weld anything to make it better. tho the thought of welding teh subframe to teh car has came to mind but is probably a stupid idea since id have to have everything in the exact place they need to be b4 i weld it up and i dont think im capable of doing that such work.

Def sounds like a shifting subframe problem or loose steering rack bolts. Very dangerous.

Hmmmmmmm loose steering rack bolts??? i Never thought about that ill have to loook into that i know they unbolted the rack to do the clutch.... i dunno i think they screwed me i had no problems till i had them do the clutch install... and the clutch only lasted 8kmiles too bad they closed down (pro care) or id sue them. i even brought the car back and complained and they dinighed that anything was wrong with it. grrr tahts why i like to do the work my self but i didnt have time the city was on my butt about the car not being driveable i only had 7 days to buy a clutch and install it and i had no clue how to do that on a sho it all looks very intimadateing but i guess its not as bad as it looks after ripping half the damn thing apart my self to do the crank and cam sensors.

i've never used air tools on my car in the past, never had a problem

just put some muscle into it and it should be fine, **** dont be afraid to use a breaker bar if you have to

but you seriously need to get under there and tighten those bolts up before something bad happens

You need 2 Ford Subframe recall kits (Bolts + nuts welded on a plate) , and MAYBE some subframe bushings. A good 1/2 ratchet + small pipe will tight them enough.

Yep thats my Exact problem..... now im wondering if ford will fix it for free like what i hear... but im highly doubting it since my cars got like 120k+ miles on the clock. i know recalls have exceptions like for mileage and what not. Now the Don side to this recall.... i built my turbo plumbing with the subframe outta wack thagt means imma have to do some tweaking when it gets fixed. damnit. lol oh well Thanks guys for the info this actualy helped out alot.

-Bob.
p.s. im glad i have the turbo off for inspection.... one less thing to get in the way of teh fix.

incorrect. recalls are safety issues and have to be done reguardless of age or milage. but just call the dealer and give them the vin number and they can tell you if it was already performed.

shonutperformance.com purchase 2 recall kits and alum bushings and that will be completely gone. and that isn't out of ordanary for that to happen. on new bushings my SHO had a bit over a inch of movement just like yours does.

anythings worth a shot i need my sho on the road again.
