I have a stock 2010 Taurus SHO with 160K miles, had a high pitched whine, bearing go on one of the turbos. In the process of replacing both with stock. Is there a step by step procedure to remove? I car on jack stands - from undereath and via passenger side front wheel well. I have rear cat off, working on removal of passenger side cat next. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Service manual was hosted online until recently, when the host went dark and hasn't been responding to DMs. You've got the right idea, and could probably figure it out from there but the problem I'd see would be doing it all with engine in the car, and also the correct torque specs for some of those bolts would be more important than usual.

edit: changed to 'DMs' as apparently the acronym for private messages is banned...

Well you found another censor stupids a s$ word PM s without the space will get **'d out because we can't ever mention Premenstrual syndrome in conversation even though it is mentioned in health literature everywhere. What a dumb program filter this is.

New plan, I'm seriously debating changing out the turbos myself. Since the shop I took it too said "you probably blew a turbo but we don't know which one" I am having a hard time trusting there are engine problems. I can diagnosis it myself....worst case I'm wrong and the engine is shot I'm only out the cost of the turbos and my time.

I have read pages of forums on here about turbo replacement but I am coming up short on any manuals. There were quite a few links but they all were bad. Anyone know of a manual or a good step by step for replacing the turbos?

Start with the front turbo, as it's easiest to get to. Remove the intake pipe and check for damage, oil, excessive lateral and axial play.

I've had mine out a few times and just did the front one again. I have some tips and tricks that might help you in the post further below. It's not a bad experience but I have a lift. There are some portions of the Ford service manual here (scroll to bottom). https://www.fortau.com/
