Just everyone knows, since it's on a Sunday, the date is May 27th about two weeks from now.

****, need someone to drive the SHO or Lightning out to CA?

Kevin, I was gonna have Kirk transport them for me but I have asked him on a couple occasions and he never got back to me. After doing the math and all, we are gonna drive the SHO and the wife's Bimmer and I will have a transport truck carry the L for me. No way am I driving that loud ass, gas sucking, rough riding truck nearly 3,000 miles. Plus I'd be buying new tires when I got there and I would have to hope and pray for no rain with the drag radials on it. They suck in the rain. Wonder why? :nut:

And Andi will be riding with me and another friend will be riding with my wife so we can safely take turns driving the distance. We owe them big time for being away from their families to help us travel that far. It's not Andi's first time driving across country either, so she's the pro here. But thanks for the offer though buddy, much appreciated. :thankyou:

Sorry folks, but I'm going to have to bow out. My daughter, and family were coming up next week, but she is dealing with some major morning sickness(my 2nd grandchild is due late Oct/early Nov). She and my wife have decided that we are going down to GA now, and we won't be back until June 3rd. Sorry that I will be missing the festivities and a last chance to see the infamous fence post. Have a great time.:omgsho:

****, know that you will be missed and that you will always be a lifetime TSHOC member. Thank you for all you have done for the local SHO community and, most of all, your great friendship. Best wishes in your new life direction! :salute:

There's one thing crazier than a wife being pregnant, and that's a daughter being pregnant! :salute:

thanks ****, it took me a min reading that to figure out the mistake. it was early in the morning, plus i had just gotten off work, and i didnt reread what i typed. and thats my story and im sticken to it. =)

im plan on driving it some this coming week to see if it acts up at all, and if it does, i have another crank sensor on an old motor that i can use. so either way everything should be ok. now the fun part of asking my boss for a weekend day off.

Just to reiterate.

Who all is planning on coming?

Also, should I brother bring my tools and some parts to install or is no one gonna be interested in wrenching that day?

Perhaps installing cams , or any other work for that matter, at somone elses house with minnimum time is not such a good idea, ecspecially since everyone has work the next day. If a tech meet is needed, we can set something up another time.

To be fair, the next day is Memorial day, which many people have off.

However, I don't think a cam install is a good idea.

I believe we did noon or so last time - I imagine that will work again this time. I don't believe it will take me more than an hour and a half to get there...I'll be better prepared to leave this time.

ON the subject of cam install, what if I get them installed and just had a hand at shimming the valves when I arrived? That's no where near as intensive and I'm sure veterans here could help me do it in less than an hour. If not. whatever. I'd prefer just to hang out anyways.

Also, I might come a little early, it all depends. it's a 4-1/2 hour drive for me.

Hey guys,
The time frame can be 11 am or noon, no real worries there. I will see if Josh wants to come earlier, like the day before to get started on his cam stuff. My house isn't exactly ready for guests now that it'll be mostly boxed up, but if anyone wants to come by Saturday night to help Josh and doesn't mind sleeping on the floor or couch, and not afraid of German Shepherds or cats, come on too. And if for some odd reason if we are not done, I am also off Monday so between all of us, getting the cams done shouldn't be a major issue. How does that sound everyone?
