Okay. The rebuilt transmission, that I purchased, is to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. They never requested a core. I guess I’m going to have my friends look at the existing transmission on my SHO to see what is truly wrong with it. Once I know the issue is, I will have them rebuild it and then I WILL sell it. ‘99 SHO w/ overdrive.

I will be taking 4 solenoids to the transmission place so they can look at the transmission that's on the SHO at this time. Maybe if it's just those solenoids that need to be replaced, I will just take that rebuilt transmission up to our ranch and store it there until something really bad happens to the original transmission on the sedan. Now, just to find a damn transmission dipstick is almost impossible unless you find SHO's at salvage yards.
Well, THAT Transmission was a joke. It was damaged in route to the Transmission place. Also, it looks LIKE CRAP!!!!! Needless to say, my clients transmission shop denied the delivery of the transmission and sent it back. So, I will have 4 solenoids arrive at my old O'Reilly Store since they are just around the corner from the transmission shop.

it's not a rebuild. that company sells used parts with a warranty. Alot of used part sellers do that

2 things -
1st - I have taken apart my share of V8 SHO drivetrains. All original cars I ever pulled apart came with dull silver torque converters. Can't help but notice that the one in your pix is bright blue. Screaming it is a replacement Torque converter to me. That said - YEAH - that is likely an already once rebuilt transmission, too. Even more reason to send it back.
2nd - With the solenoids. It has been a long, long time since I messed with them, but I recall a split between the 96/97 and 98/99 transmissions for the impedance on those solenoids. Review the 1997 solenoids in your parts book and make sure they are a DIFFERENT part number than the ones you were offered for the '99.
I will have my mechanic take picks of everything that is on my SHO when they are working on it Monday.
