I've had a tranny leak, mtx, for a few months now. I've just been filling it up every few weeks but i finally got the axle seals thinking that that would fix the problem. When i went under the car to check it out again, the axle seal was dry but it seemed like the fluid was coming out of the transmission mount. Is there anything there that would leak? I don't think its coming out of the vent because the top of the tranny is dry. Thanks for any help

sounds like someone may have used a bolt thats too long and popped a hole in the case.

Stick a jack under the engine with a piece of wood and remove the trans mount. It's possible that your case is cracked and this will allow you to inspect it.

Check the top of the case, towards the rear directly above the axle seals, where the case halves come together. That is the highest oil pressure area on the MTX transmissions - if you are leaking here it wil be worse after high speed highway driving, and could have popped open during a dyno session.

AREA 91 is correct. When mine leaked at the location I described above (after a NESHOC dyno session), I cleaned the area very thoroughly with brake cleaner and rags, and then sprayed on some Permatex gasket stuff made for this purpose. It held for several years IIRC.
