I was just wondering if the transgo shift kit was worth the money. My shifts are firmer with the chip but how will the shift kit effect it and is it worth buying?

I mean a super chip. It is not the Diablo one just a super chip. It make shifts firmer and produces more power.will the shift kit make the shifts much better or is it not worth it ?

SUperchips produce less power, and it depends on who much pressue your chip is giving the Tranny now. it give too much pressure that would weak havoc on your trans

Off the shelf, SuperChips may produce less power, however tuned on a dyno they work just fine, believe me. wink

I know all about your CHIP, forget where the car is/was? I was helping the newbie, in explaining a few things. All chips blow goats until tuned.

Did you get the car back?

I am sure it was...Jason might as well call FPS his car's other home...in fact I think Doug might very well have a set of GA plates for it! :p

If it had a black bumper...then it is the one.

Haven't gotten it back yet, or I would have gladly shown up at the Convention. I didn't even get to use my slot at Summit Point. Doug put Shawn's LSD on it and checked out the tranny.

Take a look at this link.

http://www.shoforum.com/shiftkit.htm

You'll notice that the shiftkit does much more than increase shift firmness. It dramatically improves the oiling system thereby extending the tranny life. I went from just the LPM to both the Shiftkit and the LPM and the shifts got dramatically firmer. Since then I've backed off the pressure with the LPM to a happy medium that I like.
