This has been rehashed many times, please use the search function.

Your car is a 93, the weakest year of the ATX. Please swap out your computer to the DU41 configuration, get a TedB lpm, rebuild your tranny correctly, (ford dealer or comparable) and be happy.

I would check your codes first, as the computer is probably trying to tell you what is wrong. Go to http://www.midwestsho.com/ for a code reading procedure and code explanations, along with some great deals on SHO parts and modifications.

It could be that your turbine speed sensor has seen better days, though you didnt give enough info to rule on anything. When mine needed to be replaced I had a hard shift from 1-2 when heated, when my variable speed sensor went the car didnt want to come out of overdrive and the cruise control wouldnt work. There should be a stored code that will lead you to the source.
