The other night I left an interior light on in my car and the battery was dead. I had to roll it out in neutral to get it down the drive etc. Jumped the car, reset the idle and decided to take it for a drive.
It started out great, shifting just fine. Then for some reason, about five minutes into the ride, my car started shifting really firm between 1-2 and 2-3 and O/D was gone.... This stayed like this for about 5 minutes until I stopped my car, restarted it. After resart, the problem continued. I did an easy acceleration from 1-2 and then stomped on it so it would go back down to 1 and see how it reacted. It reacted great, then went smoothly into 2...3....and then O/D...
I didn't have it happen again after that. I haven't had any problems previously, and last week I did a tranny flush/fill and replaced ATX fluid with AMSOIL and the car has been running great.
SO does this mean that my tranny is going bad, or could there have been some cpu/tranny issues if battery was completely dead? Again, I have had no other concern prior to this wieird occurance.
