top end cleaning,reply to ford lover

hey ford lover,sorry so slow to reply. when your 42 life gets in the way! i veiw the board i lot and wish i could find the time to join up with some of the members. 7 days are not enough in a week. the fall run sounded like a blast. question, the shotime forum brew for decarboning says to use ford top end cleaner. ford man says this does not exist. what is the best mix and method to decarbon?.

All you need is some carburator cleaner, it works great for breaking up the grime inside the intake. A through cleaning of the intake and runners will take a bit of time and effort. Becarefull if you clean the lower intake, where the fuel injectors are, you don't want too much crud falling down into the cylinders.

on the intake, carb cleaner did not do the job. i think either conpressed air through the 4 passages or a attack with some old dental tool may be what i need. i am tired of my 332 check engine code/light saying hello after 5 miles of driving. also, thought of decarboning engine through throttle bod,good idea if runing well or don't fix it if it's not broke? whats the sho population's take?
