I found a place that will rebuild Tokico struts or any other brand for that matter. However it will cost you $165. Canadian each , plus shipping.
Now I need to find a place that can do it for cheaper. Bilstein charges $65. US which is more in line with general SHO budget restraints.

Out of interest, what would be a reasonable price that you guys would pay for a full rebuild?

And for a few brief moments, I thought I actually found something "new". I'm assuming if the rebuild could be done for less money, you folks would have been all over it.

Well we just haven't been looking for rebuilding them as there have been a few viable alternatives for sale. Maybe we will have to look for something in the near future.

what's the life expectancy on a set of Tokicos? Koni's too for that matter?

assuming someone drives it (and I quote my wife)"like there's a key of colombian bam bam taped to the floor and a cop on his ass?"

I just blew one out that had about 25k miles on it. I'm pretty sure they are long body struts, too.

I'm going back to Konis.

Long bodys are stock for 89-early 92.
Also SHOsource charges an extra $50 for shorts,Not sure why every other place ive found them its the same price.
In my case for my 90 ill have to hit up a J/Y to get a set of rear short body struts.

The reason we charge $50 extra is because Koni usually does not include spacer rings with the short housing rears. We tried to get Koni to correct it, but they did not believe us that the spacer rings were needed. We went to our own machine shop and had some custom rings built for us (not cheap), and include them in the short rear struts we sell to make sure you have all the parts. Lately Koni has been hit and miss including spacer rings, but if they get to the point where they include them in all the boxes (like they should), we will be able to drop the $50 charge.
