To meth or not to meth?

Has anyone here installed a meth kit on their shos? If so how does it work for you? Any discussion is welcome, thanks

Many people running 50/50 and even 100% meth successfully in their Gen 4's. Snow Performance, Alky Controls being the primary product mfr's.

Do need to have a tune so your vehicle will run correctly afterwards.

I'll have to look in to that further. It sounds like it doesn't hurt the engine, if anything it helps to keep it clean.

Correct. You do have to remember to keep the meth tank filled up, just like the gas tank. Don't want to run out of meth (it's a fuel) if thus equipped.

But you can set your programmer up with a meth tune and a non meth tune right?

Absolutely. Just have your tuning device handy when you need/want to switch over.

I'm still waiting for livernois to get back to me with a price for everything, do you have any recommendations on a programmer?

I used Livernois Alky kit and there tune for it. It is set to spray at 6-7psi so if your not putting your foot into it you more than likely won't use much of it. I would look for a bigger tank and mount it in the trunk if I did it again. You use the OEM windshield wiper reservoir for the meth and mount a supplied smaller tank for the windshield wiper fluid.. there are plenty of how to posts to do this setup on your own. It is challenging

Well.. I wish I had the exact answer for you but I added ALLOT at once so not sure of the exact numbers. We added E85 - IC - Pipes all at once... Base tune with Meth and stock turbos was 390awhp..

Well, I guess my question is why did you install them - what was the motivating factor to replace stock ones with these? What do they offer over the stock ones? I'm new to turbos - last car was 2010 Audi S4 with supercharger. Are the ATP bigger or spool faster, what kind of gains do they promise? Had to cost some coin - I don't think I would invest in them unless I had some idea of the benefits. Thanks for your replies.

ATP claims 200hp with the correct tune and correct fueling .. which I did achieve.

I was motivated with my greed for more power!! Lol... No really my plan is to drop a rebuilt motor in that will also be able to handle the pressure.

Hunter i also installed a meth kit and larger turbos , the meth kit alone will give you a noticable increase in power at the higher RPM range. I installed it because the larger turbos run the engine out of gas above 4000 rpms and no one makes a fuel delivery system to compensate. I Dyno about 440 with the upgrades.
