Hey folks I need to know how do you take the timing belt tensioner Stud off a 3.0. I sprayed with PB blaster and then tryed getting a pair of vice grips on there, but nothing the vice grips just spun on the stud. Also how do you take out the little dowel that holds the spring tension. Please help cause I need to do this quickly. Any info would be appreciated.

Well i got it off with heat and the vice grips and blaster. But it came with a price, a half inch gash to my index finger right below the second knuckle, thanks to the cam gear :madflame: . Thanks for the suggestion. The dowel and stud weren't marred up too bad and I ended up smoothing them out. Thanks again.

also, for rusted/stuck nuts and bolts, always try and tighten them first. you just need to move it ever so much, spray it with penetrant, then try and loosen it.
