Throw Out Bearing and pin ?

So has anyone replaced the plastic pin with a metal one?

Perhaps a snipped nail or the sort.

If you plan on trying,find a fastener wholesaler(nails,screws,nuts,etc.).Use a dowel pin.You can also get them from MCS catalog.If you have the size,i`d even try stopping by a small machine shop and asking if they will sell you 2 or 3.Small shops are usually family owned so you could talk to them easier.
