Are you sure you have the right bleeder screw size/thread pitch?

nothing a perma or heli coil thread replacement kit won't fix. I messed up some threads pretty bad a long time ago. It was late and I misread lb/ft for lb/in.... :p

Might want to be careful about keeping the hole clean of debris if you use one of those kits. YOu have to drill the hole out larger.... retap it, and insert a steel insert.

when it comes to brakes Id get a new caliper not one from a junyard who knows if it even works or how long it will last. I got a remaned one for 45 bucsk for my f-15 a few wees ago and thats a duel piston caliper yours is probaly cheaper. I got it from napa it had a core charge so dont throw yours out. Personally though I owuld jsut retap the threads its not hard at all.:thumb:

Naww, Im just gonna get a caliper from the boneyard..Most any SLO caliper will be the same right?

I think they are the same 94-95. but the piston is smaller for non-police 89-93 Slos, it would be scary to have mismatched calipers piston bores in an emergency stop.

haha.. just end up hitting the car beside you instead of the one infront.

but yea i would definately get a new/reman'd caliper. much better off.

and to add to the stories about stripping threads. at work, while attaching the engine and tranny on a cat 16H grader, pulled the threads clean outta the bellhousing on, i think, 8 of the holes. didnt go too well. ended up just being that the bellhousing was old and weak. luckily we still had the old one.

Rear calipers are the same. SHO front calipers have steel pistons and the SLOs do not.
