I think I'll start this as all our threads seem to end up running into a general chit chat (not a bad thing!) so possibly we can keep our threads more topic related. Also remember to keep it fairly clean and follow the SHOforum rules.

I'll start.

So this internet thing, is pretty cool! I'm surfing the web at 56k (48 actual)!!!

I'm getting 21mpg in the V8 and the 93 still is sitting with a sagging suspension and a pair of bad tires!

Great success!

so where all is a rod shifter supposed to have movement?

DSCN6923

after jacking it I think it needs sub frame bushings also. there was about 1/2 inch of movement before the sub frame settled after the tires touched the ground.

So what was wrong with your Gen 3? I remember threads about it getting horrible mileage....

And oooh....dialup. You have my sympathies. :)

nowhere except at the boot. All of those bolt should go into something. for the SFB's I'd say either Gen 3 rears, or ALSB's.

hmmmmmm

I'll have to get some comparison pics tomorrow. by "at the boot" I take it that you mean the part with all sorts of wiggle room or is that part ****** up too. on second thought pics might have to wait till tues or weds because I have a biology and physics test i should be studying for tomorrow. on mine the one where I was asking if it needs to be connected the screw appears to have snapped at one point or another...

Joe, what happened to your transaxle?

sandrew, it gets about 20 mpg now driving 12 miles to school one way. It got horrible gas mileage as it never got warmed up in winter driving a total of 1.5 miles to work.

Hi speed wireless FTW!

I could gather up the whole tranny and we can put it there.. I think everytime we see a sho in a salvage yard we should pull sme hard to find expansive parts and makifolds to experement with our own extrude honing and BBB's.... I just think it would be smart. get like a SHO parts fund and ''donate'' into it whenever we can and use it to get parts from the salvage yard....

like thrust bearings, synchros, and transmission cases without holes in them?

I didn't even get to touch the SHO yesterday... I got home, grabbed some lunch and slept through when I was supposed to go to the eye doctor, hit and killed a pheasant on the way to the eye doctor, got home, goofed around at home until 6:45ish when I had a meeting to go to, got home at 8:45, screwed around until after 10 when I finally got around to studying.

As for the 2002, maybe when I get out of school, that's about the time I may have play money.

I saw a CHERRY '91 Green Plus today. Paul, the Law office where the black gen 3 was always parked, it was there. I stopped, and wrote a note because he was busy, and left it with the secretary.

We need him to give us some class, students, a teacher, an IT guy, and a LAWYER!!!11 That's if he's already not too good for us.

who would have ownership and posession of it though? It's just one big legal SNAFU waiting to happen. The only thing that could be done would be to make a trust with all the NebSHO club members as trustees and have it that way. but then you still get into driving it and such, plus insurance, plates and maintenance costs...

not to say it wouldn't be cool as ****, it's just that it rivals the practicality of a wireless extension cord.
