Where is a good place to get good quality subframe bushings, and does anyone know what they run for price?

Get ford OEM rear sub frame bushings for all four corners unless you want aluminum solid bushings.

I was under the impression Ford was the only place you could attain rubber SFB's!?!? I just order mine for the rear, like $60 total for the four pieces that make up the two rear mounts!

I always see aluminum ones out on ebay. take a look out there, cause I know they are less than $90 there. Shonut has them for $95 a set I think as well but I read he was going to be closed for a week or something.

Be careful which set you buy. There is 2 styles. A cup style and a ring style. Stay away from the ring style. Josh sells the cup style. The ebay cheapies are ring style I believe.

all the ones I have seen on ebay of late are cup style. The ones I got off ebay were cup style too.

FWIW having followed the ring vs cup debate like 2 years ago, I can't see any reason not to get whatever one is available at the best price. I have a few friends with the ring style on thier cars for over 60k miles, with none of the "problems" some tried to make out about the ring style.

I didn't care what style, I just liked paying about $100 delivered for them.

Just know that the Aluminum SFBs give a very harsh ride at times, especially if you have the SARCs disabled. I have Al SFBs with SARCs disabled, and it can loosen some teeth on potholed roads.

FWIW, I paid $60 shipped fpr my cup style SFBs from a friend.

That's too easy! Look HERE

thx D ~ you are the mad searcher. I knew that search box was good for somethin. I was pretty slammed at work, in my defense ; )

Reason being is I am wondering if I have the ring style and wonder if that is essentially one of the sources of my front end clunks and creaks. And yes, I've been whining about the same damn thing for awhile. I bought them from Midwest SHO about a year ago and installed January of this year. from the pics, sure seems like I rec'd ring style. why should I be avoiding ring style again ?

(now my excuse is I'm out the door to go make some music ; > ~)

I bet the clunks and creaks are strut mounts and/or ball joints. But that's just my guess. I'm assuming the sway bar stuff has already been addressed on you car.

The police bushings would be an upgrade for a stock Gen 1 or Gen 2, but a downgrade from a Gen 3. The Gen 3 rear bushings are quite firm. The fronts are more like the Gen 1 & 2 bushings though... way too soft for good handling.

you might be surprised what hasn't been addressed yet ; )

I have had the ball joints and strut mounts replaced this year though. one guess though is if the struts weren't torqued to spec perhaps there is a hair of play?? wild guess. and I sure do need new sway bar bushings, the tie rods as Ian suggested also a possibility. one of these days hopefully before the year is through at the least I plan on getting up to a SHO Dr to fix er on up. I figure if I keep typing that , it'll evenutally happen. kinda like the power of positive thinking or something.
