I have never had to do it, but I am pretty sure you can use a hole saw and cut a hole in the floor right above the location. You can then bend the retaining tabs back and remove the captured nut to pull the broken bolt.

Look up "subframe recall kit" and see what that gives you.

I have a couple subframe recall kits at the shop and they include the rubber plug to put back in the hole you cut with the hole saw along with new bolts and a new backing nut.

Let me know if I can help.

Mine was the driver's side front. Any ideas on how to get to that?

uh, just look at the photo you posted. There is an access hole right above it.

As for the rear subframe bolt, if you have had the subframe bolt, recall performed there are already large holes cut into the floor of the car. Pull up the carpet, pull the plugs out, and the bolts/hardware are accessible right there.

Whats holding the nut inside the frame rail? It moves around pretty easy but won't come out.

ive had the front break off... there is a hole and it is a BIOTCH to get out... depending on how much of the bolt is still threaded with the nut

EDIT:

There are retaining Tabs... try hammering on the bottom of the bolt... the tabs will break off... but you really dont need them... atleast i didnt... i just used a wrench through the "access hole" to hold the nut instead of the tabs since mine were broken from getting the nut and bolt out.
