Well, My dad and I were replacing my thermostat and he was using a torque wrench. Well the little stud could not handle the torque(should have hand torqued it). Does anyone know the size of this stud or the part #-if there is one? thanks everyone.

You can get it at AutoZone. Ask the counter drone for the metric stud kit. The kit is a heavy black box with a couple dozen different stud sizes. It's an M6 X 40 mm, IIRC. Take the nut in for insurance.

I did the same thing. Torque to the lowest spec. Autozone has a usable stud. One threaded side is shorter than the other, and the stud is black in color. I put the short end into the housing. Part number is 329306.

Good luck,
Tom
