Struts?

Is there anyway that I can run different struts? I know the reason why I might not be able to and that because of the stupid SARC.

Does anybody know of a place that makes custom springs?

From what I've read, it seems as though many with '96s-'98s opt for the non-SARC '99 struts. It seems as though the use of these (with the OE sensors absent obviously) causes a MIL, as expected. However, it sounds like many prefer the non-SARC struts to the OE's.

I am in the same dilemma- I'm in the market for a new set (once the Spring arrives!)

I'll probably go to the '99s myself.

As for the springs, I am going to try the Eibach's intended for the SLO. I'm hoping that they are at least comparable to the rate of the OE SHO springs. I'm currently riding at a slightly lower than stock ride height compliments of the tab-lowering method, but either my struts need to go or my springs need to be stiffer. My underbody plastic oil pan guard will hit bottom on undulations on the freeway (WTF!).

I'm going to replace springs and struts no matter what because I NEED them, mine are dead. I'm also going the add a front strut tower brace, 24mm front sway bar, 26mm rear sway bar, SARC switch, alum SFB's, and new bushings and linkages for everything. I'm thinking of getting new OEM struts and just flipping the SARC switch on and leaving it on when I'm the only one in the car. Right now it's just a matter of finding it all for a good price.

The KYB's fit fine, and IMHO handle very nicely. We put them on a customer's '96 with a zillion miles a couple of months ago, and he likes them better than the SARCs on his low-mileage '98!
