Did a search but turned up nothing but threads about removing locking lug nuts without having the key.

When I started my front 60K I noticed I had a locking lug nut but no key. I got it removed but destroyed the locking nut in the process. So I need a new set.

Does anyone know what the stock bolt size is on the Gen 2's? I know I can take one of the car and take it to Advanced to get the right one but I figured I'd ask here.

I'd like to pick these up on the way home from work and get this thing back on the road so the old lady can't talk crap about my SHO. (See my post from yesterday in General Chit Chat) I don't want to drive it with only 4 out of 5 lug nuts on it.

:thankyou:

I believe that if he were to walk into an auto parts store and list that off the salesperson's head would literally explode.

The local AutoZone, yes. Those guys are idiots. Everytime I go in there I know it's going to be an epic fail.

The local Advance, no. The guys that work there actually know what a SHO is. Not only that, they always have the parts that I need in stock unlike AutoZone.

They won't have the bulge acorn, but you can settle for simply the "bulge". That just means there is a larger nose on the nut that doesn't allow the nut to bury itself in your aluminum rim.
I used a regular nut and had a hard time getting a lug wrench on what was left showing, when it came time to take it off.

also the size of the cone makes a difference, some lugnuts off Fords don't have as tall as a cone, yeah it could be that 60 degrees you speak of, but still not work right with a slicer.

when I say tall cone, put the lugnut down on a table, put the hole that goes on the wheel stud on the table with the lugnut standing up. how high that cone shape goes up in the air is what I'm talking about.

I just happened to get some aftermarket lugnuts one day that looked great, but they seat on the wheel properly
