Stock filter vs k&n drop in

Anyone ever do a comparison between a stock filter and a k&n drop in filter. I know on my mustang you are better off with a drop in k&n rather than a cai. Even the one that goes in the fender. Going to the track next Friday, wondering if a drop in k&n will help.

i just got the MDesign cold air kit for my 2011 it has the livernois stage 4+ on it, it helped with throttle response and topend power it was a noticable difference as soon as i put my foot into it. i had the k and n drop in prior to the intake and was skeptical but it does provide a little more power so i was happy i did it.
