Your temp sensor might be going bad. It tells the PCM what temp the car is. My car ran ran like crao u til it warmed up. Could also be that colder thermostat.

Did you check that the secondaries are closed at idle?

Probably not that he put in a cooler thermostat. 99% of the time, when a thremostat dies, it dies open and the car will stay too cold. Just replace it, an easy job. Just go easy on those small bolts.

Sorry Ron, forgot to add in that post that yes i did check and the secondaries are closed at idle!

I have replaced thermostats on a couple previous SHO's of mine, so there's nothing that should surprise me there. I also grabbed a stock maf off my parts 93 so I might throw that in and see if there are any differences.

I have completely narrowed this issue down to only when it's cold. The gauge never shows that it gets to normal opp temp. I'm leaving for the west coast in 4 days so I don't know if I'll have time to swap the t-stat before I leave but I'm going to try!
