It is quite noticeable with the window down and at idle. Turning the wheel either direction gives many squeeks. Is this an indicator of something going bad? I have ONE month left on my warranty

hmmm. I just did a brake job and I checked the wheels for any play (3 and 9, and 12 and 6)... got NONE.
Also, struts are covered in the warranty, and daddy sure would like a brand new suspension :dribble: How in the world could you get a warranty issue on a set of struts? Is it up to the opinion of the mechanic?

Warranty struts?? you would have to read the wording of your warranty contract. Be sure that the backing plates behind the rotors are not rubbing on the rotor.

The problem will not be the struts themselves anyway. It will be either the tie rod ends, or the strut bearing plates, both as noted above. Warranty will cover either or both, or it should, anyway.

It's most likely your tie rod ends and a lack of play doesn't mean they're not going bad.

It's not the struts for sure, possibly the mount or bearing as mentioned, but it's almost always an outer tie rod end. The only time you'll get struts replaced under warranty is if they are leaking.
