Started installing some parts for a little project that I'm working on. What a pita changing the coolant transfer pipe underneath the heads. I will finish it up tomorrow.

My next smaller project is to blackout the backup lights in the rear lenses. When I had the car tinted - years back - I light smoked the front lenses and rear brake lights - but for some reason decided not to do the backup light portions. Years later and different mindset - gonna use some headlight vinyl and smoke those portions out - will post pics when done.

Realized I hadn’t run the extractor down into the IC in a while (pretty sure not since I installed the noisemaker delete, and cleaned the throttle body…so, a WHILE lol) so I did that. With the drivers side jacked up I got at most a 1/2oz out. Throttle body is still clean as a whistle, and so was the plumbing between the two, so the UPR is doing its job. Nothing exciting, but figured I’d post here as a friendly reminder to check/drain yours once in a while. Bit of maintenance that’s relatively easy to overlook. Also a good opportunity to take a peek at the throttle body to see if it needs cleaning while the pipe is off. Just remember to disconnect the battery and/or the connectors if you’re going to stick your digits in there and move the throttle plate while inspecting. Safety third

Actually thanks for the reminder, plus I have to ditch the J&L and pickup a UPR catch can. I have never drained my IC yet. Any suggestions for an extractor?

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I've been meaning to post pics but been to lazy to wash the car first. I went with a 3m product called black duel color. We use it for sign face that we want black during the day and white (or what ever color leds) at night. I also ran a strip of it on the front led marker lights!

Someone was selling their custom sub box made for his sho, so I had to buy it, and here's a little teaser picture. I'm going to take advantage of this long weekend and try to get everything wired up.40b15daee6a494df42b3cbbe4274af42055ee685e589dd492ae8f7792605f743

Can’t go wrong with a mityvac.

Yeah, to my knowledge the UPR is the best bet for our cars. It’s not cheap, but personally I don’t mind paying a premium price for a product if it actually works well. You’re definitely going to want to get the upgraded check valves too

My J&L catches nothing, some moisture, just small dried up drops. Crapola. UPR is 15 minutes from my home.

I'm only adding 2 10" subs. Everything else will still be stock Sony stuff. Maybe down the road, I'll change out some more stuff.

Here's a quick little update for you, @kryptto. I have 2 Alpine 10" subs wired to 1 ohm, installed in the box and I have the box mounted and secured with 2 brackets I made myself to make sure the box doesn't more during spirited driving. 72d99294409b04457dc40b753cfcac96688f553c6aa929844437717b9dd9c67d

Done, the lights are fully tinted however with the sun it's hard to tell.

Looks good! When I did mine years ago, I had it fully blacked out like yours but then wanted something different so I cut out the clear parts of the lights so that only the red parts of the lights were blacked out.
