Yep.. So i started my water pump.... and well.. by the looks of it.. i mind as well do a 60k... any suggestions on doing that?

Your going to have to find a kit with the shims. I don't know if you can rent them anymore?

I have the special tools, too if you need those.

I'm in Menomonee Falls.

Yeah i have everything off now. Now i need to get a new main seal. CPS and timing belt... Funny.. it look like its been replaced before.. but the timing belt is off by two teeth...

oh and btw.. Would i be better off buying the 130 dollar CPS than to buy the 60 dollar one?

The upper 60k will get done on november 11th lol... when i get paid again..:biggrin: i was thinking i should have bought that maintenance kit off of shobros... because i think that would have turned out much cheaper... but oh well it's gettin' done. All i got left to do now is to put on the new stuff :)

IMHO... cheaper and shobros shouldnt be in the same sentance... the only thing i think id buy from them is their cams... i woulda bought a CF hood, but after seeing jesse's wonderful piece of work (bows in the middle) i dont know if id pay 500+ for one of them

Yeah... im gonna try to do cam seals. Im gonna do those tonite plus a front main seal. Could anybody tell me why im leaking a little oil from the exhaust manifold???

Yeah i could definetly tell someone tried to get my CPS off before i bought the car cuz one of the phillips head screws is stripped out to ****. ...

oh and the CID looks like a bitach to replace...

thats not possible... you can be leaking onto the x-man, but not from it... probably Camsensor or rear valvecover

So ah.. Took off my valve covers tonight and noticed TONS of gunk all over.ll must have been the penzoil the previous owner used:dig: haha well.. Whats the best way of cleaning that stuff off.. besides using a hammer and chizzle :evilgrin:

carb cleaner... then oil change, thats what id do

unless its hard... if its gunky thats what id do... if its hard... uh id start looking for a new motor

Damnn, my 150k mile SHO was clean as a whistle after pulling the valve covers. Shoulda ran that seafoam through it before the teardown. ^^^but yeah, I'd try some carb cleaner.

hmm some of its hard... but its not real bad.. The cams look good atleast... but all that **** in there and the damn things only got 75k lol
