OK here goes. 93 MTX 101K. Coming home from school last week and as I go to put it in 1st gear I push down the pedal and attempt to shift into first. No good. So I take my foot off the clutch and try again. This time pedal stayed on floor. I reach down and pedal is floppy. Clutch cable snapped. Get it towed and have it fixed by the next day for $200. $125. for part $75 for installation. Pick the car up that night and everything is fine. Shifts really nice and smooth. Next day I go to work and did a few delivieries and pull into a parking spot. I wasn't quite straight so back up, as I let off the clutch the whole car started bucking and I thought the engine was going to come through the roof. Get it under control and pull into the spot. As I leave I ride the clutch out and it stops the bucking. Next morning go back to mechanic and he says, "Hey I forgot to tell you that it's bucking in reverse!" "Thanks I know. Whats the problem?" He said it could be a bad mount. But I just had all 3 replaced about a month ago. Also if I let off clutch too fast in first I hear sort of a growling vibrating bark for a quick second. Do you think it has anything to do with the tow truck pulling it? I'm confused. Anyone have expirence with these symptoms. Anything would be a help...
shrug Thanks

The first thing I would do is adjust the clutch by pulling up on the clutch pedel and see if it clicks. If it did the cable was not adjusted properly and you just adjusted it, if not shrug ?

I tried the self adjust and when I pushed up on the pedal it didn't click at all. I didn't want to pull too hard so it it still bucks in reverse.
Thanks again.
