Check the firing order also, the one listed in many of the manuals is wrong.

I did use the sticky for the firing order, going to double check later. Also bought a new dis today, going to try that as well. And forgive me but iab....idle air bypass? And im assuming its located on the throttle body?
Yes, the idle air bypass. It is located on the intake by the throttle body. I forgot to plug mine back in once and the car would hardly idle. It could just be a plug wire not completely seated on the plug or coil pack.
The car should not idle if the iac is good.If you unplug it the car should stall out.
a SHO will pull very hard with nothing in front of the throttle body, including having the MAF and TPS unplugged.put the new coil in, no better. checking firing order and plugs now. i also unplugged the mass air flow sensor before starting, seems to run better unplugged. dont know what that means, oh well back to work.
