Well two nights ago it drove fine except for the usual slight knocking which seems to be coming from the TC.

Tonight I go to start it, cranks fine, but no start

All fuses are good, no codes showing up. I tried resetting my computer and I did check the fuel pump shut off switch also. My fuel pump does prime itself when I turn the key on.

Anyone have any ideas?

This car is starting to make me mad

Thanks

Try flooring the gas pedal and crank. Might be flooded and it may take up to a minute of crancking.

Front head, driver's side over the exhaust there is a plug. This is your cam position sensor. Try unplugging it and trying to start the motor. If this sensor is flaky it might stop you from starting, if you unplug it the CPU starts throwing random sparks and it just might start. Once it starts the crank position sensor will let the computer know where to time the spark. Worth a try.

There have been a couple of V8s that have the belt cut the wire to the CPS. It runs behind the A/C compressor.

Thanks for the replies!

I'll check these things out and let you know what happens.
I just purchased a fuel pressure gauge and noticed that the pressure is now at 0. When I first checked the schrader valve i just pressed it in with a screwdriver and some gas came out under pressure but now with the gauge it is reading zip. My fuel pump does prime itself but does not seem to be pumping. Does the fuel pump sound like the problem? That's what I'm thinking now. When I checked the schrader valve the first time, I guess that there was pressure, but not enough for it to start. Normal is 35-40psi correct?

(Yes, I did have the key on when I checked.)

Thanks for any inut on this.

Also, if you think that it is the fuel pump, how much of a PITA do you think it would be to change? I know that I would have to suck out about 15 gallons of gas and drop the tank but how hard is it to do? Very time consuming?

Thanks

Sound doesnt means nothing..... Try a couple things to first. Check with fuel gauge on the schrader valve turn KeyOn Engine Off (KOEO). PSI should rise to around 35-45. If not check the circuit break in the trunk to see if it needs to be reset (Also check fuse). Next check fuel filter this maybe clogged (Have seen this before)... If all those are good then most likely you will need a fuel pump.
Pls dont hold me to this, but my experience tells me this. Since I don't have the car in my posession I cannot be 100% sure. Hopefully this will hep you trouble shoot it.

You have a Gen II, not a Gen III. Completely different engines and electrical systems.

Try reading in and posting in the correct forum.

Sounds like your Crank Position Sensor (CPS) is on its way out.

Please keep us informed as my 98' is starting to do this. It almost always takes me three or four trys to get it to start. And I would be interested to know if it is the same problem or not. Good luck on your SHO's issue's, affter all, they all seem to have them.
