I was wondering if the front brake pads are the same between the sho and a slo? I searched, but didn't find anything conclusive. I have a 92 mtx, and auto zone website lists a seperate set just for the sho, would like to get some pads that aren't $55 a set.:nut:. Car is a DD, don't need anything exotic, just regular pads. Thanks.:thumb:

Other than the compound possible being different, the locating tangs on the back of the inside pad are bigger on a SHO. Slo tangs are easily bent ("reformed") to fit a SHO piston.

And why are you still running on wimmpy stock 92 front brakes?

I'm gonna add a disclaimer to this, early Slo calipers had the thick walled plastic/phenolic pistons. Later Slos had steel pistons the same dimension as SHO pistons, not sure what year they changed.
