SHO SHOP PULLIES!!! Don't buy!

My local speed shop attempted to install the new SHO Shop pullies and guess what? The alternator pully is too big and won't go on the car. Same problem as Kirk except they pulled the power steering pully off and put the original back on since they didn't have time to experiment trying to find the right size belt (I don't have the ASP pully so I can't use the same one as Kirk).

They spent 4+ hours labour on it and now I'm out $300 (Canadian) and I've got nothing to show for it.

I got an email answer back from the SHO Shop. Apparently they've realized their error and they're sending me another pulley. Too bad they couldn't have told me beforehand. I've already spent $300 on the unsucessful install.

I wonder if it will still get the 6 hp gain that they claimed originally or will be too similar to the stock size. Time will tell.

What size is your alt pulley?

I have the recent set that is yet to be installed and I would like to know if it's the wrong one before I find a shop that will slap mine on for me.

I have devloped an electrical alternative to the UDP and believe it to be more effective, easier to install and cheaper. I have 7 switches I bought off of eBay and am looking for someone who would like to try it out at my cost. About $50.00 each for the switch and relays.

This will let the alternator, PS pump and A/C to freewheel when the pedal is to the metal. Also relives the engine of these loads when stating the engine.

I'd be willing to be your guinea pig. That sounds like a good idea. I've got a G-tech and I've got a fair bit of timeslips from the track so I can evaluate the effectiveness pretty well.

That's why I want the freaking outside diameters of the UDPs!!!
I can get a CNC guru to build some after redesigning, if we can get the OD!
Then we can figure belt size and proper shaft sizes, etc. And do up a proper set.

Relax Smedley I have the OEM PS pulley in hand. I'm unable to give you a measurement for the ALT pulley because the one I had seen was also the wrong size from the SHO Shop. I will send you the water pump pulley if you want to oversize that too?
