2 out of 9 cars survived. My camaro and the owners turbo grand prix. Both are heavily smoke damaged but since the camaro is a striped out race car a quick wash and it shoupd be good to go. I lost a few parts including my atx cooling fans that we mounted to the roof to act as a fan in the winter to push the hot air down. And i lost a bunch of summit racing oil fittings amd assorted small stuff. The driver mirror glass broke when 2 rafters landed on the car and there is a staggering amount of ice on the car. Hopefully it will melt tomorrow and i can get it cleaned up. I got really lucky on this one.

I spent some time today pondering what it would take to start this thing so i can drive it untuned and i think i am going to drop the fuel pump in and drive it on stock power to break the engine in on stock power over the next couple months hopefully. The car is frustratingly close to being drivable. Once i am comfortable with the the engine i will put all of my waste gate springs in and swap to big injectors and make some big turbo noises!

Shortly after I posted the last update the car was involved in a building fire. I lost motivation to work on the car for about a year. The SHO community was not thrilled with this so with some motivation and help I pushed the car out and began the tedious task of cleaning the car, as well as pulling everything from the interior that was thrown in after the fire.

spark plugs were installed so even though the spark plug tubes were full of water the engine was not filled with water. I went through things quickly and The engine and trans should be fine other than being extremely dirty. The car did not suffer any heat damage so other than a rafter landing on the car which broke a mirror and scratched the front fenders pretty good there is no damage.

Where am I at now? I need to re install the fuel tank and get it set up for my A1000 fuel pump. Is there a sending unit designed for the tank/pump or is it a custom setup? If it is custom do you guys have any pointers?

I need a new set of ATX cooling fans if anyone has a working set they can sell me. I will be towing the camaro over to my friends house so we can poke at it here and there. Other than cleaning it I have done nothing to it all season. I almost gave up on this car this year, but I really REALLY want to finish this thing. I want to throw the stock camaro fuel pump in it and see if we can start it to see if the engine has survived sitting for 4 years being through a fire and 2 days in a water fall of freezing water followed by 2 more years of being parked in my garage.

Good to see this is starting again. We all seem to have something happen and take us out of the drive to get our projects done. Sadly most don't return to them.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted. In sure if you need some stock stuff we could help out with that. Don't be afraid to go to Facebook as most people don't come on here anymore

After many years my life has had a lot of changes. I now own a auto performance shop that specializes in VW, Audi, Porsche. One of my customers came in and wants to do a project. I threw out the idea of putting this together once i finish one of the other engine swaps i have in my shop. There is a pretty solid chance he will authorize the work required to complete this job. I have to get back in the SHO game and see what parts are available for this thing to get it running.

That's pretty awesome? Did you ever get it to run?
