SHO gas mileage

So I installed my Livernois stage 4+ tune a few days ago, and noticed my gas mileage has dropped from 20 ish mpg, to around 14-16mpg. I am running 93 octane atm and I've done 189 miles since fill up and my gas light just came on. What range are you guys usually seeing with your SHO's?

Keep in mind I do 70-80% city driving.

Im usually 20-23 with a mix. Straight highway...23-26.

I do 70-80% hwy. I sit about 21-23mpg depending on my left foot, same as stock. But in the city I either shift manually or be very gentle on the throttle because the tune likes to hold gears longer, even with a normal throttle application, 1rst and 2nd gear will run to 3k rpm. Stock it liked to stay around 2k ish between shifts.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I haven't done anything else different so I don't understand why'd the gas mileage has gone down so much...

We get 21-23 in town and just under 30 mpg on the interstate, running 80-85 mph (occasionally close to 100 but too many troopers on the interstate we travel) but NO cruise enabled. I always use Shell Premium gasoline.

How many miles driven since the tune, marius, and do you step into the gas very often? There is a learning curve for the PCM after a tune flash, maybe you are still in that period?

Any gas/oil odors or smoke out the exhaust? Check to see if oil is pooling in the intake tubes or the intercooler. Maybe the PCV is acting up.

I am averaging just under 24 mpg since I installed my tune about 9K miles ago, but the majority of my driving is on freeways going 70 mph. If I am driving stop and go in the city or idling at a traffic light or at a slow drive thru, it drops like a rock.

No strange odors or smoking, but I did re flash the car a couple of days ago. Maybe that could be it..

So I filled up today before work, and reset my average mpg. After driving to work and back normally, not getting into the pedal too much...
When I got home tonight, I decided to take a look at my average mpg, and too my surprise it read 23.8

I found that my foot got a lot heavier after putting the tune in, it's hard for me to resist hearing the tires chirp into second gear

Once tuned...how you use the skinny pedal will determine if you're going to get good mpg's, or you can quickly upgrade to smiles per gallon.

I prefer smiles per gallon but only on days that end in Y

I'm running the 93 Octane tune with 3-bar, CAI, and a lead foot! I actually controlled myself for one tank of gas and never did any WOT runs and I got 19mpg in very heavy city "stop-and-go," traffic!!

Completely stock and still under 2,000 miles (fwiw). 50% hey @80. 19-21mpg consistent.

Don't know what mileage is, don't really care.. Love the car... Prius's are for mileage

I completely agree with you, however I was mainly asking just to make sure my mileage wasn't abnormal comapared to others...

I think i had the anomaly pcm setup from stock. I was getting 28 to 32 highway. After mods i get tge epa spec of maybe 26 tops highway, 20-22 mixed. Dependent on the gravitational pull of the gas pedal
