Okay, let me start it from the beginning and take it on through. It all started after SHOCAGOs drag day. After leaving the track (32 runs later) i noticed a funny sound from the driver side under the hood.The car drove fine and accelerated fine for the most part (didn't have a LPM installed w/ a Cobra 80mm MAF) so i wasn't worried.
So then the caravan stopped at a gas station to fill up and the problems began. The car idled extremely rough and the trans became a riot to shift, that is if you could get in gear at all. (MTX) So i drove it home and then noticed that 1-2 shifts were the worst. Even downshifting into 2 wasn't hard. Keep in mind that all gears were a pain in the **** to shift into about 5min before only the 1-2 shift became a pain. The car continued to run rough.
So i scan the codes and behold the results.
Code 15 - ECA Memory Failure
Code 25 - Knock sensor was not sending a signal
Now, what the **** is the ECA Memory failure about? I plugged in the LPM and the car ran considerably better while driving at higher RPMs. It idles extremely rough and burps quite a bit at 1,500-2,000 in all gears except 1st.
I did happen to have the LPM plugged in while i scanned the codes. I was advised that the LPM could cause such a trip? So then would the knock cause the idle problems?
