There is also a variation of this, while making fast turns; I call this one the (PHOFDL)-DYHTDT? (Passenger Holding On For Dear Life)-"Do You Have To Do That!!??

For technicians, when we test a cam sensor, it is referred to at the CMP, and Crank sensor as CKP. Ford mar reference it different, but Techs prefer what we are used to. :)

FWIW, SAE-prescribed, standardized nomenclature for several of these items was formally changed around 1993.

For 1992 and prior, the crankshaft position sensor was designated by the acronym CPS. For 1993 and later, the acronym was changed to CKP.

For the Cam position sensor, the respective terms are CID and CMP.

The SAE created these common terms for use by both engineering and service personnel so that the same term could be used across all manufacturers' product lines.

If anyone wants to type it up, I'll scan the pages from my Probst book and send it to them. It's on the inside of the front and rear covers.

Just to nit-pick a little on the original list, which I think is excellent, especially for the SHO crowd:

"DIS" has always been Distributorless Ignition System.

An "ECM" is probably more commonly referred to these days as a "PCM" (Powertrain Control Module).
