Hi:
I'm building a 1993 SHO Mustang convertible. I have a 1995 3.2 24V SHO engine, a "Modern Driveline" conversion bell housing for this swap (call Bruce Coulter and talk to him in you are need a SHO/T5 bell housing)
I'l looking for a clutch set up which will work with the T5. I'm sure there are disc which will have the 1 1/16 X 10 but am having a hard time finding one, any ideas??

Thanks
Don

Are you planning on running the SHO size clutch and flywheel and are looking for a disc with the right spline count on the hub, or are you looking to run the mustang sized flywheel clutch and having the flywheel redrilled fro the SHO crank pattern?

If you're looking for a SHO sized clutch disc that has the right splines, I believe you're looking for the disc out of a Lumina/GTP with the 3.4 twin cam motor. It's within 1/16" of the SHO disc and I believe it has the correct hub.

The other option would be to have a clutch shop assemble a SHO disc with the appropriate hub.

Of course, if you're looking to use a redrilled Mustang flywheel clutch choices are nearly limitless.

Don't tell 2 people on the same page. I also 3.2 SHO in a 93 vert. The difference is I went auto for the wife. I don't know much about a t-5 so unsure about the shifter location that is reason I say this. I caution you the motor will sit forward in engine bay and unsure where the shifter will wind up. May want to look at my pictures. Good luck and if got any pictures please share. I would like to see how you solved so problems and see if I done the same or you had a better idea. Thanks Maurice

the shifter will be too far forward by however much you move the engine forward to allow for the fact that the left head hangs over the trans mounting location (unlike the 302, which does not). If you cut the firewall, etc. to keep the engine/transmission connection at the same point front to back, then the shifter will be in the right spot. If you move the engine forward several inches like most of us do, then the shifter will be too far forward by that amount.

That is what I am concerned about. From my picture you will see entire intake system will need recessed also. The metal behind the intake is the rail gutter. The gutter is above the seam just at top of intake. Below that is the AC/Heat system and no space there. Now a vintage air or some other mfg may solve that or do without heat or air. Doable will some work. Unsure how much he will have to recess. Engine can not go down. I am almost on the steering rack. I guess could lower that was afraid of messing up steering. Maurice
