So I chrome deleted my SHO fender badges. Actually took them all the way apart so I didn't have to Plastidip the black plastic mesh. Looks pretty good. Now that I have them back on the car they don't seem as snug as when I first took them off. They haven't fallen off yet, but I am worried that the next time I go through the car wash they will go flying off. I thought about putting some silicone caulk on the peg that is on the rear of the emblem so that it would be secured on the inside. Any product I can use to carefully caulk around the outside edge of the emblem to secure it, without it looking like shit? Any other fixes that you know of?

Mine did fly off in the car wash and put two large dents in my door!
The car wash had to hire a window guy to remove the drivers glass and paid for the dent doctor to fix the door.
After finding my unbroken emblem in the carwash I attached it with Panel Bond, no issues now. Ohhh also removed the passenger one ( very easily done) and glued it also

Even with the stock mounting, they seem to fly off in brush car wash. Best bet is to use a brushless car wash.

The car wash I use to use banned all SHOs' with the side badges from using any of their numerous locations where I live because of them coming off, getting stuck in the side brushes and damaging vehicles. Probably a good thing in the long run because after that, I did paint correction and have been hand washing for the past couple of years. Now I don't have the car wash swirls.

Yes sir. I avoid at all cost putting a wash mit on my car. Even with a double bucket method. High pressure wash with a pressure washer, foam soap coat, high pressure rinse, leaf blower (I only use on cars) to knock the big water off, and a "dry me a river" towel wipe for the little water what comes cascading out of various places lol.

When you use a good 3m automotive double sided tape, use 3m adhesive promoter 4298. It shouldn't come off once stuck. If it does, the foam between the adhesive will rip.

Be very carefull what you put the promoter on, it will leave a residue.

When I wrapped my car, the wrap guy said that there was not a way he could pull the badges without one of the 7 ( i think he said 7 total) tabs breaking. This resulted in my fender badges being loose and even with double sided tape, they flew off.

I wonder if he pulled the inner fender out? Easiest way to access them.

I would wager he did not. But he paid for new badges so no skin off my back.

Pretty sure one of the brushes at the car wash got stuck in my mud flap or in the seam that meets the rear wheel well and almost damaged my rear bumper. I heard a loud 'thunk' in the car wash. I came out of the car wash and one side of the rear bumper above the rear wheel well was sticking out like half an inch and the screw to hold it on was gone.
