Seat and Steering Wheel setting gremlins

Occasionally, my 2014 will decide that my steering wheel doesn't need to return to the position it was at before turning the car off. Sometimes it doesn't retract completely when trying to get out of the car.

Also, occasionally my seat decides that after I turn the vehicle on that it needs to move up to the far forward position. At 6'8 I have only a few moments to figure out what's happening and reach down to hit my seat preset button or other adjuster switch.

Anyone else run into this?

Not sure about the seat, but my 2013 had a bug in the firmware where it wouldn't put the wheel back where it should be. There was a TSB for it.

I suggest going to a dealer and having them update everything they can. My 2013 was a very early production run, I think in March of 2012. Which is very early for 2013 MY. Can't say your 2014 has the same bug, but you never know.

It's possible. My car was delivered to the original owner in October of 13.

The memory module went bad on my car causing similar issues. Fixed under warranty.

I bought my 2014 new in November 2013 - mine did this but it was because the battery was getting close to dying actually! One I replaced the battery this never happened again.

I left my grille lights on for a couple days when I didn't drive it over the holidays and I had to jump it off to start it one morning. Original battery so it's probably about time to replace it.
