I'd love to join you, but work prohibits it.

The week after next, a buddy of mine from work will be on vacation. He's wanted to run his car at the track since he saw me do it. We've raced before and I won, but he'd like to get it on a track and try again legally.

He drives a nice '97 Accord 2 dr. Not ricey, but tastfully modded instead.

If you happen to go the next week, we might be there. And if you ever want to get the SHO's together for a show or anything let me know, I'd be happy to do it.

Hey I might head out with ya if mine is done by then, should be got the replacement rod shifter in today. Only thing is i doubt i'll have the 500 mile break in by then. I just did major "rebuild" work on mine. I need to run it though and do a dyno on it also. Maybe i'll head out there with ya for support if anything.

Hey MG, how much do you trust the guys at Complete Automotive?

I went and spoke to them about installing my pulleys and the guy who you referred me to told me he thought the engine needed to come out to get to the alternator.

I know from other genIII owners that it isn't that involved, I was just wondering if these guys were setting me up for some kind of ass-******.

I trust them! i went in later the same day you did and asked if you had come by yet. We started talking about it a bit and he believed that was what he had to do. did you have the SHO with ya, i think i remember him saying that you didn't when you came by. They were probably stating from the top of their head, when they see it they would know otherwise. These guys are honest with what they do. They have too well a reputation to start poking people now.

Yeah, the SHO was there, I even pointed at it and asked him if he would like to look under the hood to see what I was talking about.

My car is a wild shade of purple, it's hard to miss or forget, to be honest.

I'd like to get these pulleys done, but I know that this car is a bit complex and dificult to work on. I don't want to get screwed nor do I want my motor coming out to swap a pulley. That would probably cost a bundle.

Purpl, sorry they gave you a bad impression. Pretty odd that he didnt check it out. Maybe he was having one of those days. I'll talk to him about it a bit more when i go pick up mine.

I got the impression from him I get just about everywhere I've taken the car to. No one wants to work on it. It's pretty funny, but these guys simply get this look and this tone of voice that tells you they have no interest in working on your car.

I'm sure all of these guys have the know-how to do it, but they sure as **** don't want to bother with it. I simply don't want to leave my car in the hands of a spiteful person.

It's OK, you don't need to talk to him about it. I might give Northside Ford a call, I've been told that they have guys there with experience in this kind of stuff.

At any rate, we obviously live close to each other, we oughtta get together sometime, I'd love to check your SHO out.
