Thanks for the pics, now you got me thinking. When I got my car I replaced a number of compression unions that someone used on the brake lines. I hope that I have the right lines connnected. I guess I would've noticed, because i'd imagine the car would pull while braking. I also don't have a distribution block anymore I didn't even know there was supposed to be one.

Sorry to bump a two year old thread, but I just recently purchased a 1993 SHO 3.0l, and blew out a brake line, which happens to be part of this bundle. Anyone know of the best route in going about replacing them? I figure it's best to replace all the lines since if one blew, the rest aren't far behind. Does anyone sell these bundles new or used? If not, what's the most cost-effective or labor-effective way to replace these lines? I'm hoping to do the work myself, but I've only dabbled in brake line work before (replaced a master cylinder once, didn't need to replace any lines). Thanks for any help guys! BTW, the OP's pictures are invaluable for getting a real look at what needs replacing.

I looked under brake components, and couldn't find that bundle... just generic stainless hard lines?

edit; I just read the associated thread about the lines... that cleared it up, I think I might just order a full set of lines... thanks for the help!

Ok next dumb question, is there any possible way of installing all those prebent stainless lines without removing the engine (or other major surgery)? It looks really straightforward with the engine out of the car, but with everything still in the engine bay, the clearances around those lines are pretty tight (took me a while just to find a vantage point to see where I ruptured a line). Anyone who's done the lines before, have any advice? What I need to remove, what I can keep in?

Just remove the airbox and ABS controller, you don't need to remove the engine or transmission.

Yeah, it's tight, but then again, what isn't tight in a SHO engine bay??

true that. :)

What exactly does that black "distribution block" do? Does it have any internal workings other than just a straight-through conduit for the three lines?

Since this thread has been bumped, I just want to comment that the SHONUT stainless brake lines are awesome. It was a grueling twelve hours to replace all the lines on the car plus new master cylinder and bleeding all four corners. But now the car has a nice firm brake pedal and I have no more fears of lines bursting under sharp brake application. Thanks again for the help guys!
