has anyone ever seen this. i was driving my supercharged 5 speed sho and after i shifted into second, i shifted it a little hard and then when i stopped the car at the stop sign i took my foot off of the clutch and had it in neutral and the RPM just started rising up to 3 grand and then so then i shut off the car to see if something happened under the hood and then afterwards i couldnt start the car back up.

do any of you know waht the problem could be?

Um, because you bought a supercharged SHO?

Did you perhaps get the rug caught on the gas pedal? Has happened to me before. Make sure the throttle body & accelerator cable are moving fluidly, without binding up.

It's very easy to flood a blown SHO. Foot to the floor while cranking until it catches, then let off (after you check out the cable & TB, etc.)

I'm not sure if you're having the same problem, but on several of my SHOs i've had the cruise control connector stick on me, causing the RPMs to rise. I removed it and never had that problem again.

I had the RPM's stick at 3 grand with my '88 Mustang. It was the throttle position sensor (TPS). It was replaced and calibrated to the proper voltage. I'm not sure how to calibrate it, but you could look around here or SHOtimes.com
