Roush Springs

I was talking with dale at roush today and he said they only had springs for the 99 taurus and up. He was unsure if they would work properly on the Gen III SHO's. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with these springs??? thnx for any replies.

I have them on my 96, and people said that they work for all gen 3 sho's, order them, you won't be dissapointed

The springs for a '99 model should be the same as those for other Gen III's. Am I correct?

they quoted me $100 with shipping included for all 4 springs. I will order mine tomorrow!!! whats the going rate for getting these installed?

I have checked with 3 different shops about the installation of the springs (one being a ford dealership) and they have all said it would take about 6 hours of labor and around $500 just to install the springs and to realign the wheels! Is that a correct price??? i didnt think the install would be 5 times the price of the product but ****. Let me know if you guys have any other information. Can these be installed in the driveway with our own intuition or does a shop need to complete this process???

I got quoted $180.00.

That didn't include a 4 wheel alignment though.

I got my Roush springs for a total of $63 off Ebay.. this includes shipping.

180??? I would so do it for that price, but 3 shops told me $500 just to install them and for that price i decided against it. Maybe I will just order the springs and keep shopping around for an affordabe installation.

I ended up getting quoted up to $800 to install my springs. Went to a local shop and had them do it for a flat $200. Keep looking, anything other $200 is just way too expensive. 6 hours is complete ********, it would take me 6 hours to do the install not a "skilled" shop. I was quoted around 2 hrs to do all of mine and that is how long it took. Granted I took the seat out for them beforehand, but that is like 15mins of work max. Next time ask them what the **** they will be doing in the extra 4 hours, playing spin the strut to see who installs the next spring?

My install included an alignment, but I need to find someone really good to align it right.

Thank you Ozzman! I swore to them 6 hours was insane!!! I will definatly keep looking for a different shop. When i asked one of the shops about it the mechanic went over to a computer to see if they could do it, I knew right then that was a bad sign. The guy had no idea what he was talking about. This is why I love our SHO FORUMS!!!!!
