Well I went to a local mechanic. They checked all they could. Did find a collector inefficiency. Suspect is the PCM, for some reason its sending a command to go rich and they are not sure why. Mentioned that it might be the PCM. Not sure what to think...cause I would suspect a bad PCM would cause many issues. Anybody know of a good diagnostic place even if its not ford specific in the Detroit area? Need somebody to seriously troubleshoot this. Yes I know my last option is the dealer. :(

Thx.

With a Lincoln, I would not hesitate to go to a Lincoln dealership, especially if they have senior/experienced people staffing the service bays. Talk to the techs directly for best results.

PCMs can be repaired at places like Circuit Board Medics a lot cheaper than a new PCM, and the configuration data is saved, as a bonus.

To the OP, I have the exact same issue that you are describing. Rough idle and a "surging" or "lurching" when leaving from a stop and my foot releases the brake pedal. I have low compression on cylinder #6 (about 92 psi, to be exact). Also did a leak down test and found about 60% leakage as well as the compressed air coming out through the oil filler tube, indicating a broken compression ring and/or a broken ring land. You might have someone do a compression test on all cylinders to see what the results are.

Anybody know of the resolution on this issue?
Car is still in at the shop, cleaned the valves and got a fresh set of plugs...
Idles beautifully until it hits closed loop, then piggy and rich and rough then stalls out...
Struggling here tbh, will the issue of fluid in the air to air cooler cause this nonsense?
