Rock Falls Raceway May 14, 2016

The air was good in Rock Falls today and it was cold. We were making good power but traction was poor. I have concluded that I cannot launch any harder unless I upgrade the brakes. On one run, I attempted to get some boost prior to launch and the brakes would not hold the car. With the cold temps, I would have just had more wheel spin, anyway. All runs were within a few hundredths. I may not be the fastest but I am consistent! I am car 702.

According to the Wallace racing calculator, my 0-60 has dropped to under 4 seconds! I had seen that before with my Aeroforce gauge but I wasn't 100% sure it was accurate. The Wallace calculator bases the 0-60 time on 1/8 mile ET and speed.

I was really expecting better results based on the good air. I was barely faster than when I was in 1600 DA air. The more I think I know about what it takes to set a quick time, the more baffled I become.
