removing fuel lines from engine to body

ok, so im the middle of disconnecting everything to pull the engine out of my 92 and i dunno how to get the fuel lines out, my Taurus repair manual says i need some crazy tool, but is their another way? or do i really need the tool?

There is a bolt holding each fuel line to the rail. Just don't lose anything.

Leave the rails intact... Unbolt them from the heads and the valve cover and swing them onto the windshield. This way, you're less likely to have any problems such as leaks.
