I am replacing the alternator.
I have the battery out, and the tray out.
I need to remove the belt.
I can see where the pully is for the tensioner (I THNK I HAVE THE RIGHT ONE) but I can not see clearly HOW I am supposed to release the tension on the belt to remove it??

I know, I need a hayes manual but for now, can some one give he some help fast?

The tensor is just to the left of the ALT. You need to loosen the 14mm nut in the middle of the pulley. Then loosen the cap screw on top to loosen the belt. Do the opposite to tension the belt. Make sure you tighten up the nut in the middle of the pulley when done.
Sorry I was thinking of a MTX
For the ATX Use a 3/8" breaker bar with a 17 MM socket on the tensioner pulley. Push down to relieve the tension and remove the belt.
