Guess I'm really late in hearing this, what truth in it I won't know until tomorrow at F O R D. However, I heard that there was a recall 1 year ago on all GEN I rear sway bar assy. and bushings. Hmm., boy if that's true everybody owning a GEN I with receipts for that bitch will have a late Christmas present courtesy of F O R D. I will keep you posted on this for sure....

According to Ford Customer Service//(what's that) the recall for sub-frame bolt was exclusive to certain asembly plants, Snowwind was assembled in Atlanta, Georgia and is not under recall for that reason, but they were interested in the high mileage and although it will be a couple of weeks they are hard copying the archives record of him and sending to me...I don't know what it will contain, I want manifest and etc., etc., they were very pleasant and 2 hours later we promised to keep in contact,,,,don't know if he was flirting on an 800# courtesy of Ford or really was interested in Snowwind(((who by the way was quietly sitting outside and couldn't hear all this))).

Marlene, I believe the recall has more to do with the originating geographical location of the car. It usually applies to NE states and other ungodly cold states. My car was purchased and registered in Michigan. Since it's been in Texas for 4 years, the recall still applies. It has to do with the rear subframe nut plate rusting out with all the nasty northern winter weather. My dad's dealership did the recall work for me, free of charge of course.

What a pleasant reply...that is also what was mentioned by Ford CSR, I had failed to mention that part, we had such a long, friendly talk. I just thought that you might say something like..replace what old rusted part on this fart???? Do you care to make up with Snowwind for those comments about his age??

Ma Ma M and Snowwind, I tell ya, when Sergio looked inside his heart yesterday, I grabbed his jacket I was so afraid of what he'd find, and he found nothing but clean plug wells, oh yea, he did find a broken bolt end is trapped inside the hole and will need taking out soon, but keep on rockin''
