Are the rear brake rotors for the 1990 vented? Also, are they the same diameter as the fronts?

Thought so. The ones I got were the same diameter, but the "front" ones were thicker and the "rear" ones were thinner but the center part that has the stud holes was higher.

Now I'm wondering if I have the correct front ones on.

I looked on Carparts.com and they agree with the shop. Can anyone look up raybestos part numbers? The fronts I got were (10)6886, the rears were (10)66210.

The rear brake rotors on SHO's were vented from 1989 till 1992.
From 1993 till 1995 they were solid.
The calipers are also different 89-92 and 93-95.

yes. and no.

Make sure if you replace the rear rotors and/or pads that you get the proper tool that pushes and also rotates the rear caliper piston or you will be buying new calipers too.

You need to check and see if the previous owner did something to the brake setup or someone at a shop might have installed the wrong parts.

You can also get a cube tool but those slip - or at least mine did. I say rear discs are a breeze....

Get the correct tool kit like the pic above. The loan-a-tool at AutoZone or elsewhere will make your life so much easier. You get all the deposit back when you return the tool.

That's sort of what I did. Did the loan-a-tool and never returned it. Gonna be using it again soon.

I tried the cube tool but failed miserably. Anyone know what the part numbers for the tools are from harbor freight?

Yay! More "do a search" trolling!

Thought that the guy who posted the picture might have the number handy. ;)
