I have used the search function and performed all the fixes I could find.

Here is the list:
Eibach Springs
Tokico Struts
New strut mounts
Adjustable Camber/caster plates
"groan" spacers
new ball joints.
all new suspension bushings
all new sway bar bushings
new sway-bar end links.
new tie-rod ends.
new GENIII subframe bushings. No rust at all!! Is there a possibility that the bolts are too long and the subframe is not against the body? I do not see how this may be possible, but who knows.

Had a buddy MIG weld the subframe strut rod receiver
He also welded the top of the upper A frame where FORD had cut the welds to perform an alignment. Now I have the adjustable camber/caster plates.

The car still feels as if something is hitting the bottom of the vehicle on the passenger side front. It is much less noticable since the wleding, but it is still there.

Is there anything else I can check? Anybody local to DFW want to take a ride and see if they can diagnose the rattle/clunk problem? Could my steering rack be bad? Could I have a bad strut even though they have less than 20k miles on them. The SHO handles great except the rattle/clunk on the passenger side.

Please help since this is really bothering me.

Thanks in advance,
Michael

I do not believe that it is the CATs. I was just under the vehcile today and was looking around. Nothing obvious.

Also I just had the Transmission fixed and they could not determine what was causing the noise. I must admit that the noise is much less since the welds of the subframe strut rode receivers and the tops of the strut towers. But it is still there. I guess I will have to make some time to get over to Grand Prairie and see Tony.

Thanks guys,
Michael

Check your fender liner up top where the spring goes up into the strut tower... I know sounds funny... I had a noise driving me nuts. Noises can travel in strange ways. Today while chasing another I was bouncing the car and went over to the pass. side and felt up in there and the spring was popping on the edge of the fender liner. Out came the utility knife. 1 more noise gone!:thumb:

Thanks to Scott P., I now know the location of the noise. Seems as if my steering rack needs to be replaced. The rack is a little worn out but not enough to cause steering or alignment problems. You can feel the clunk if you put you hand on one of the rims and have someone else turn the steering wheel back and forth slightly.

Thanks again to Scott for taking time out of his busy schedule to take a look.:thumb:

This is exactly like the problem mentioned in this thread.
