Hey guys... so after my front 60K I have this odd hesitation. I HAVE NO CODES. It happens randomly, I thought it might be the TPS, but then I got to thinking about the grounds. I don't think it would be the plugs or wires, the wells are all dry too, I didn't have the problem before I took things apart. I don't think the timing is off, wouldn't that cause a lot more problems then random hesitation?

I am going to check the grounds when I get home, if that doesn't help I will swap out the TPS.

You guys have any other ideas?

Things I have done;
cleaned the maf
every thing on the front is new, cps, water pump, timing belt, tensioner...
reset the idle

--edit--

Also read about the PCM or DIS going bad...

is it really random? or is it just a certain situation?

I agree that the tps is a likely candidate, but the grounds and the dis are also possibilities.

did you change the crank sensor when you did the front 60k? 'cause if you didn't then Murphy's law says it will fail any day now....

Did the cps...

Well, a tps is only $23 at autozone, I can return it if it doesnt work :)

Headed out to check the grounds and the dis right now.

Just cleaned up all the ground, terminals, and tightened them all down nice.

did only the front, but after inspecting the hoses they need to be replaced asap, sounds like one of them might be leaking... I should spray some soapy water on it and see what I get.

I just replaced the tps, it got rid of most of the problem, but right as you are about to hit the secondaries there is a brief bogging, and after looking at those vacuum hoses I would say that is probably the issue.

---edit---

hmmm, dont remember the last time I changed my air filter, maybe ill check that out... lol

My buddys SHO, CWhalenSHO, had a similar problem.

Turned out to be the DIS. We would take it for a ride and sometimes, it would be OK, but then, it would miss really bad.

Maybe your's is going out?

I am starting to think it is the DIS... maybe it got knocked around when I was pulling things apart, or putting them back together...

Anyone in the Salt Lake City area have a DIS I could try?

FIXED!!

I ripped the maf sensor off this time and cleaned it instead of the whole housing, the in flow side was caked, all cleaned, all fixed and running strong again!!!

I would take another look at it. Like I said in the other post I almost didn't even notice it.
